Survey Response

 This was our starting question, basic to get a understanding of the gender of who did the survey and to answer which answered question 4 of "Do you watch musicals"
We had a huge number of 90 people answer our survey but not every question was answered fully or to our liking. We had a large response from the female side with 63 woman and 24 men.
 For age, we know we was going to get a large answer in the 16 to 20 section as most of the people we asked face to face was within the age group. 38% of the answers was from the age category, 24% was from 31 to 40 so we did have a older age group answer the question was well as young.
 Occupation was something that would link into the class element of who would watch musicals. Because most of the answers was from people that was aged 16 to 20 then most of them would be students.
Both full and part time jobs meant that people that was earning money would afford to buy DVDs, go out to watch musicals on stage and do other things related to that, that would involve money.
 This gave a clear indication of the people that did watch or didn't watch musicals, since all 89 people answered the question, we could get a clear indication that just under 80% of the people who answered, does watch musicals.
 This was to answer the question on the use of technology people will use to watch musicals and again, link with how much money people is willing to spend to watch a musical. With 72% of people saying that they watch musicals at home with a DVD, because of the digital age, it shows that they could be re watching older ones or they could like the film enough to have it on DVD.
Online was very low with only 17% which was surprising was most people can watch them online for free now but it all depends on peoples technical knowledge.
 We didn't think someone would watch a musical a day, let alone every week so we did expect a high number in other. This shows when people will watch musicals and how often.
 Sub - Genre of musicals links with our musical as it was an apocalyptic musical we wanted to see what other people feel about other kinds of musicals. With comedy being the highest, we found that most musicals have a comedy element to it.

We finaly asked what people liked more, the story line or the music or both. We had them explain there answers. Over 60% said they like both, 20% for the story line and the rest, music.
Here is some examples of why they liked what best.

So in conclusion, we found out that;
The majority of the audience was female, between the ages of 16 to 20.
Most of them are students with over 80% watching musicals on Tv or DVD less then once a month.
Most people found that there favourite sub genre is comedy and felt that both the story and song was important.

All of this information will help us when making our own musical and to know what to add, who to aim for and what we could use to improve our ideas.
